At Pike Historic Preservation, Inc., our mission is to preserve and protect the historic structures and sites which contribute to Pike County's heritage and our unique sense of place.

The National Register of Historic Places is the official list of the Nation's Historic Places worthy of preservation.
Bonding Barns were used for the storage of whiskey and were established by the the U.S. Congress in 1968 in order to delay the payment of federal excise taxes while the whiskey was aging, up to four years.
New Hebron Baptist Church has met continually since 1907.
The R. F. Strickland Co. housed a general store, bank, and company offices for many years.

The Old Molena Jail (Circa 1900) is located in downtown Molena.
This old wooden jail served the city of Molena before incarceration was consolidated into the county jail. It originally stood at a nearby location and was moved downtown for preservation.
Pike Historic Preservation is partnering with the City of Molena to restore the jail.
New Hebron Baptist Church is located approximately 5 miles outside of Concord at 870 New Hebron Church Rd. The church was built in 1907 The church meets on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 3 p.m. The church was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017. This charming sanctuary in the backwoods of Pike County has served the local community for over 100 years now.
At Pike Historic Preservation, Inc., we have an organization focused on identifying historic buildings, landmarks and sites. Historic markers at these locations will preserve history for future generations and educate the current generation about the rich history of Pike County. Each marker purchased, depending on size, is over $1000.
When the trains stopped coming through Concord, the depot was sold in 1969. After 53 years, it will return to the city.
In partnership with the City of Concord, Pike Historic Preservation is accepting donations to move the old Concord Depot to Downtown Concord and to restore the depot for use by the community.

Over the years, we have worked on numerous projects that have had a significant impact on historical preservation in Georgia. From restoring historic buildings and highlighting sites and landmarks in Pike County, we are proud of the work that we have done and the impact that we have had.
